About
Strappi started in bed.
January 2025. Jess turned to Michael and said it plainly: there are no cute camera straps. They're all brown and ugly. I reckon we can make a sick product.
That was enough.
No more bland straps. For your camera, your bag, or anything else worth wearing one on.
The design is Jess.
She started with doodles on the iPad. Little summery sketches, the kind that looked like they belonged on a tattoo flash sheet. The idea behind every one: a strap shouldn't just hold your camera. It should pull the whole outfit together. Not a utility piece. An accessory worth actually choosing.
The names match what they look like. The hand-drawn quality isn't cleaned up on purpose. It's what makes them feel like Jess made them, because she did.
The customer surprised them.
They thought Strappi would take off with travel girls and fashion people. 95% of customers turned out to be photographers. People just starting out, working pros, everyone in between. So that's who they design for now.
Based in Sydney. Built for everywhere.
Ugly brown straps aren't just an Australian thing. Strappi ships globally.
Where it's going.
Straps are just the start. Pet gear, music, luggage, everyday carry. Anywhere boring is still the default. Same energy, different category.
